Ewing moved to the Spicewood area with his wife, Sabra, from Austin in 2016 to do beekeeping.  He served as a pastor in the Presbyterian Church for 25 years.  Since 2012, he has been involved in bible studies where he has ministered to Austin men involved in business.  In the last two years, he has expanded his work to the Bee Cave area with another Bible Study and a group engaged in a lively conversation around the early church fathers.  His work in ministry is devoted to fostering an environment where people can deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ through relationships, scripture, and spiritual disciplines.  The intention for offering the Fall Programs found below is for participants to experience a life in Christ which brings blessings to every area of life.

Sabra Brown is involved with Community Bible Study, which meets at The Lakeway Church.  They have two daughters (Holley Quijano and Lydia Brown), a son-in-law (Nick Quijano) and three grandchildren in the Austin area.  Currently, Ewing is pursuing ordination with the Anglican Church of North America (ACNA).

His church membership is with Trinity Anglican Church in Lago Vista under the leadership of Dale Chrisman.  It is hoped that 6 gallons of honey will be harvested this year.
