Greek Readings from the Apostolic Fathers

Beginning in September, 2018 we will be offering an opportunity to read through the Greek texts of the Apostolic Fathers.  This group is appropriate for anyone who has mastered the rudiments of the grammar of New Testament Greek and has already translated roughly 100 pages of the GNT.

The group will use two texts:

The Apostolic Fathers: Greek Texts and English Translations (3rd Edition) by Michael Holmes,204,203,200_QL40_&dpSrc=srch

A Reader's Lexicon of the Apostolic Fathers by Daniel Wallace

More advanced lexical information is available in A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament and Other Early Christian Literature, 3rd Edition.,204,203,200_QL40_&dpSrc=srch

But this expensive lexicon is NOT required.

We will meet on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month from 1:30-3:30PM at Dripping Springs United Methodist Church.*

For more information or to sign up for this reading group contact Dr. Dickson at or give him a call at 512-648-1302.

*Those who are unable to join this group either because of timing conflicts or geography are invited to participate in a similar reading group which is Skype-based.  If I have a minimum of 3 or 4 Greek readers who would like to meet by Skype, I am pleased to make that happen.  Again, participants in this reading group should have a solid mastery of introductory Greek and should have translated a minimum of 100 pages of the GNT already.  If interested in either the face to face reading group or the Skype-based group, contact me at .
